Survive The Slope Upgrade Priority Planner
Checklist-style spend order for early, mid, and late sessions -- community guidance you can run between attempts.
This Upgrade Planner is a practical decision tool for Survive The Slope. It does not invent secret shop SKUs. Instead it gives early / mid / late checklists you can follow using whatever the live upgrade UI currently labels. Pair it with Upgrades for theory and the upgrade tier list for relative rankings. Parent index: Tools Hub.
Confirmed pillars this planner assumes:
- Loop: slide -> dodge -> bones -> cash from distance -> upgrades -> leaderboard
- Passes: Auto Spin 49R, 2x Cash 149R, 2x Health 149R
- Servers: max six players; Desktop / Mobile / Tablet
- No badges; no confirmed codes as of September 2026 (Codes)
- Mid-September beats: Items update, Races update
Everything marked “community guidance” should be re-validated after patches from StarBite Bones / BCH Studios (Links).
How to run the planner (5 minutes)
- Write today’s fail reason in one word: hazard, bones, traffic, greed, or income.
- Pick the phase that matches your account (early / mid / late below).
- Complete only the checklist rows that match your fail reason.
- Buy a small batch, then take three evaluation runs.
- If personal bests move, continue the same lane. If not, switch lanes — do not spray cash across every node.
Warm-up primers: Getting Started, How to Play, Controls.
Early-game checklist (first hours)
Goal: turn chaotic deaths into boring, bankable distance.
Community guidance priorities:
- Can I finish the opening hazard cluster more often than not? If no -> survivability / handling nodes first; study Obstacles.
- After a scrape, can I stabilize without a second hit? If no -> prioritize recovery-oriented upgrades and reread Bones.
- Is my camera / sensitivity causing oversteer? Fix Controls before buying luxury shop nodes.
- Am I spending cash after every single tiny run? Batch spends every 2-3 attempts so you can see cause and effect.
- Have I ignored Robux so far? Good — learn bottlenecks before buying passes.
- Optional pass check: if chip damage still ends most runs after basic survivability nodes, consider 2x Health (149R). If you already survive mid-distance but shop prices feel glacial, consider 2x Cash (149R). Skip Auto Spin (49R) until QoL pain is obvious.
- Codes checked? Expect empty — verify on Codes anyway after updates.
Early anti-patterns:
- Buying pure flex / cosmetic-adjacent nodes before you can dodge the first dense cluster.
- Blaming “RNG bones” when the real issue is looking at your avatar instead of the path.
- Installing random scripts — none verified (Scripts).
Mid-game checklist (consistent mid-distance)
Goal: convert stable runs into faster progression and cleaner PB attempts.
- Survivability floor is acceptable — now add income nodes so each successful slide funds two upgrades instead of one.
- Revisit the upgrade tier list and mark anything that no longer matches the live UI after Items.
- Practice one “respect zone” cluster from High-Distance Tips until you can clear it on command.
- Traffic deaths rising? Change servers or widen lanes; remember the six-player cap (Players Hub).
- Pass reassessment: 2x Cash usually shines here for grinders; 2x Health if you started taking greedier mid-slope cuts; Auto Spin if manual spin busywork distracts from steering.
- Compare pass value on the game passes tier list before spending Robux you will regret.
- Start logging fail reasons for Leaderboard climbs — data beats vibes.
Mid-game anti-patterns:
- Restarting the entire shop strategy every time a friend buys a different node.
- Racing friends (Races update) without banking cash between sets.
- Chasing late-game prestige upgrades while still dying mid-slope.
Late-game checklist (PB & board focused)
Goal: squeeze residual gains and survive social modes without tilting.
- Only buy upgrades that clearly extend your documented fail point (last 10 serious attempts).
- Separate sessions: mechanics block -> economy block -> attempt block (Leaderboard Tips).
- Before sweaty Races, freeze the shop — new purchases mid-set confuse feedback.
- After any hotfix on Updates, rerun the opening and mid clusters once before believing your old line.
- Passes: late-game value is personal. If you already own 2x Cash and still want forgiveness for experimental cuts, 2x Health can enable practice. Auto Spin remains QoL.
- Refuse unverified “leaderboard services.”
- Keep Tier List and this planner aligned; when they conflict, trust the live game first.
Late-game anti-patterns:
- Spending the entire bank on a speculative node right before a PB attempt.
- Letting race taunts overwrite your written pacing plan.
- Ignoring item tooltips from the Items week and assuming old priorities still hold.
Pass decision matrix (community)
| Your bottleneck | First lean | Second lean |
|---|---|---|
| Die early to chip / crashes | Survivability upgrades -> 2x Health | Handling / control nodes |
| Survive far, shop too slow | Income upgrades -> 2x Cash | Only then luxury nodes |
| Hands busy with repetitive spin UI | Auto Spin | Rebind / UI comfort |
| Unsure | Buy nothing yet; finish early checklist | Re-read Players |
Items & Races modifiers
When BCH’s Items drop changes on-run tools, insert an extra planner step: “Does this item already cover my bottleneck?” If yes, divert cash to the next bottleneck instead of stacking redundant survivability. When Races consume your evening, schedule a short economy block so social play does not starve the shop entirely. Track both from Updates.
One-page printable flow
- Fail reason -> phase checklist.
- Buy small batch.
- Three runs.
- Keep / switch lane.
- Recheck passes only after a clear bottleneck.
- Recheck Codes / Updates weekly — not every death.

Use the planner as a brake pedal. The slope already wants to throw you; your shop purchases should not do the same.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Survive The Slope players.
Is this upgrade order official?
No. It is community guidance built around the confirmed loop and pass prices. Always match purchases to the live shop labels.
Should beginners buy 2x Cash immediately?
Usually not. Learn whether you die early or merely progress slowly. Early deaths favor survivability or 2x Health first.
How often should I respec my plan after Items?
After you understand what new items actually do in a few runs. Then rerun the checklist for your current fail reason.
Does Auto Spin help leaderboard scores?
Only indirectly by freeing attention. It does not replace route knowledge or hazard reading.
Where do I go if I still die to the same obstacle?
Stop buying random nodes. Open the Obstacles guide, practice that cluster, then return here with survivability prioritized.
Can scripts auto-buy the best upgrades?
No verified scripts exist for Survive The Slope. Using executors risks your account -- see the Scripts hub.
